M&T Bank “Game Day with the Buffalo Bills” Sweepstakes Official Rules

No Purchase or Account Opening Necessary to Enter.

All Entries Have an Equal Chance of Winning.

 

1. To Enter:  The Sweepstakes begins September 1^st, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. (EST) and ends December 26, 2008 at 4:59:59 p.m. (EST) ("Sweepstakes Period"). 

 

Internet Entry.  Simply login to 97rock.com, WEDG.com or WHTT.com and complete the sweepstakes registration form and correctly identify the scrambled photo of a Buffalo Bills player.  Only one Internet entry per person per applicable drawing period (see below).

 

Mail Entry.  To enter by mail, hand-print your answer to that week’s question: “Who is the ’Celebration of Champions scrambled Bills’ player,” plus your name, address, city, state, zip, day and evening phone numbers, your email address (if available) and the words "Game Day with the Buffalo Bills Sweepstakes" on a 3" x 5" card and mail it in a stamped envelope to 50 James E. Casey Drive., Buffalo, NY  14206  Attention "Game Day with the Buffalo Bills”.  Only one mail-in entry per person per applicable drawing period (see below) and only one entry per stamped envelope will be accepted.  Any incomplete, mechanically or mass produced  or reproduced entries will be disqualified.

 

Correct answers submitted by the applicable cut-off will be eligible for the respective prize drawing.  To be eligible for a prize, entries must be received by the following cut-off date:

Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company and Citadel Broadcasting Company (collectively, the “Sponsor”) will not verify receipt of entries.  All entries submitted become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

 

2. Eligibility:  The Sweepstakes are open to legal residents of New York, 18 years of age and older as of September 1, 2008.  Employees of M&T Bank, the Buffalo Bills, Citadel Broadcasting Company, WGRF, WEDG, WHTT, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and other agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, "Sweepstakes Entities"), and their immediate families and members of their households, are ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes.  “Game Day with the Bills” Internet entries will be deemed made by the natural person named in the entry and, if there is a dispute, the authorized holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by the Internet access provider or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. THE SWEEPSTAKES ARE VOID WHEREVER PROHIBITED BY LAW.  All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

 

3. Prizes:  One (1) prize will be awarded at random according to the schedule set forth above (for a total of eight (8) prizes).  The prize consists of two (2) tickets to a Bills home game, plus two (2) pre-game on-sideline passes.  The tickets/passes will be valid only the Bills home game at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, New York that occurs following the cut-off date for the respective Bills home game, as set forth in Paragraph 1 above.  All other expenses and costs not expressly listed above, including but not limited to taxes, tips, entertainment, transfers, and transportation to airport to and from home residence, are the winner's sole responsibility.  No refunds, substitute ticket passes or credit for changes are allowed.  Sponsor is not responsible for lost or mutilated tickets/passes and none will be replaced.

 

4. Winner Selection:  To be eligible for a specific drawing, Internet entries and mail-in entries must be received by the cut-off times set forth in Paragraph 1 above.  Prize winners will be determined by a random drawing from among the eligible entries for the applicable period (see above) and will be drawn per the Schedule in Paragraph 1.  Eligible entrants are only qualified for the prize in period their entry was received (see above).  Limit one prize per individual or household.

 

5. Prize Conditions:  All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of WGRF, WEDG, and WHTT, 50 James E. Casey Dr. Buffalo, New York, 14206.  The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning.  In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival.  Sponsor is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.  Winner need not listen/or be present to win and will be notified via phone call the day it is decided.  If the winner(s) cannot be contacted employing reasonable efforts using the telephone number or e-mail address given by the winner in its entry within 24 hours after the prize is awarded, an alternate winner will be selected.  If no alterative winner can be contacted or otherwise selected, Sponsor may retain the any prize and use it in its sole discretion.  All winners will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release (“Affidavit/Release”).  If a potential winner fails to sign such documents, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules, then the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected.  All federal, state or other tax liabilities (including income taxes) arising from this Sweepstakes will be the sole responsibility of each winner.  Except where prohibited by law, the winner's entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sweepstakes Entities to use said winner's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state address on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without compensation.  Prizes are not redeemable for cash, are nontransferable, and no substitutions are allowed.

 

6. Additional Terms:  By participating, entrants agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules.  Winners and entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and Sweepstakes Entities from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this Sweepstakes.

 

7.  Odds of Winning:  Actual odds of winning the prize depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. 

 

8. Limitations of Liability:  Sponsor and Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incorrectly addressed, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable, destroyed, or postage-due mail entries and/or lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete Internet entries due to system errors and failures, or faulty transmissions or other communications or Internet malfunctions and/or Internet entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, or faulty transmissions, or for any problems or technical malfunction(s) of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, or entries not received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, or at a website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering the Sweepstakes or downloading any material for the Sweepstakes, or other telecommunications malfunctions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate.  Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives.  If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.  If by reason of a printing or other error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these official rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to award the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question.  No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded.  In no event will the Sponsor or Sweepstakes Entities be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of access to and use of the mandtbank.com or the buffalobills.com web site or the downloading from and/or printing material downloaded from said site.  Without limiting the foregoing, the Sweepstakes are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.  Some jurisdictions may not allow the limitations or exclusions of liability for incidental or consequential damages, or exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the aforementioned limitations or exclusions may not apply.  Check local laws for any restrictions or conditions regarding these limitations and/or exclusions.

 

8. Winners List:  Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WGRF, WEDG, and WHTT, 50 James E.
